Spring 2026 – At the table of Jesus

The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and you say, “Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.”

While it’s cold outside, we’re going to be enjoying the warmth of a meal inside.

One author said, ‘In Luke’s Gospel Jesus is either going to a meal, at a meal, or coming from a meal.’ This term we explore 6 meals with Jesus from Luke’s gospel – seeing how he sets the culture for his friends and followers around the table.

Let’s pray that we will let him shape our culture through these meals too.

The recordings of the sermons from communion Sundays are below. We don’t currently record the all-age addresses.

Luke 7:36-50

Luke 5:27-32

There is no series guide this term – but the themes we will explore are all from Tim Chester’s excellent book ‘A Meal with Jesus’. There are copies of the book in church to borrow for free or to buy for a reduced price of £5. You can also buy online using the link below.
