Every living person is touched by death and loss at some time
Please join us
Sunday October the 29th at 6pm
The questions and longings that death brings matter to all of us. That is why we think it’s good and right to gather as a parish and deliberately remember those we have lost each year.
You don’t need to be a church member to come. We would like to welcome anyone who wants to take time to remember someone close to them in a quiet and special place with others who understand something of loss. You don’t need to book or let us know. Just come and you will be welcome.
During our service , we will read out the names of each person represented by the gathering. There will be a chance to light a candle. We will sing some hymns and reflect on the confident hope that Jesus brings of new life beyond death. The service is completely free. We just want to have you with us.
You can bring a name to be read out on the day. But if you have time to share a name with us ahead of time, it will help. Simply pass on the details to Jim the Vicar (vicar.christchurchhwb@gmail.com) or Jill – our bereavement visitor (0114 246 0206).
