Lent and Easter 2025

“the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Jesus came to change lives.

Since the earliest times, followers of Jesus have used Lent to examine their own hearts and lives.

  • We don’t do it to wallow in guilt – because Jesus’ forgiveness sets us free.
  • We don’t do it for self-improvement – because only Jesus’ spirit can change us.
  • We do it so that we can bring our whole selves to Him for mercy and transformation.

Join us at 7pm for a service of Holy Communion and the imposition of ashes.

Join us at Christ Church for a course that will help us to think and prepare for Easter. We will be Journeying with Jesus as he heads for Jerusalem in Luke chapters 9-19 (see below).

Jesus came to change the world.

Since the earliest times, followers of Jesus have used Easter to remember:

  • His death – the sacrifice he willingly made to remove our sin and shame
  • His resurrection – the victory he won over death bringing the promise of new life

Whether you’re already a follower of Jesus, near to Him, or still far away you are very welcome to join our celebrations.
